Halloween Horror Nights Update: Stranger Things Maze

As promised, we are keeping you up-to-date on the latest announcements regarding this year’s Universal Halloween Horror Nights. And, if you’re like us here at Festiva Getaways, your year practically revolves around this amazing event. So, what more do the wizards at Universal have in store for us?

First, if you're unfamiliar with the annual spooky event that takes place at the Universal Orlando theme parks, you basically get a chance to enter the worlds of some of your favorite horror movies and TV shows with some movie-quality mazes and haunted houses. And the streets of each coast’s event are transformed into highly-themed scare zones where menacing scare-actors lunge from every darkened corner.

Now, it had been previously announced that Netflix’s phenomenon TV show, Stranger Things, would have a huge presence, and now we know more about the actual attraction at the event that will be based on the show. Inspired by season one of the series, the Stranger Things maze will come to life at Universal Orlando Resort beginning Friday, September.

The parallel universe, known as the Upside Down that terrorized the small town of Hawkins, Indiana will bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters, and environments from the mesmerizing series. From the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory, under the U.S. Department of Energy, to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores, the chilling new mazes will offer surprising twists and unexpected turns around every corner.

As they release more information about the event, we will post about it here. Vacation packages for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights will be available soon, so keep your eyes peeled for your chance to experience the best Halloween themed event in the country!
