Dinner shows in Branson

We're all familiar with grabbing a quick bite while we're whizzing between appointments. It's the foundation of modern life. But if you're in Branson there is another way to eat a meal while on the go. It doesn't involve racing from work to pick up the dry cleaning and back to work, either. No, no, no, it's far more relaxing. Simply board a boat or a train and ride and eat. They may even put on a show for you.

The Showboat Branson Belle has been an essential way to tour Table Rock Lake for two decades. For two and half hours the Riverboat will chug along the lake's waters offering up breathtaking views, an expertly prepared three course dinner, and a variety show full of music and comedy.

Entertainment is rotated through the year so you can take a trip each season and see something new and fresh up on stage. A highlight is that each year holiday themed shows are performed to put you in the Christmas spirit. They'll transport you back a hundred years or more, which is the ideal way to escape from the everyday stresses of life.

You don't have to travel so far back, though, if you don't want to. The Branson Scenic Railway will carry you over the rails in restored railway cars first put into service in the 1930s. On your trip you'll see wildlife in their natural habitats, the ruins of small communities abandoned years ago and more sights not accessible by other modes of transportation. Some cars are capped off with a dome to provide panoramic views of the countryside you'll tour through.

Travelers who board the dinner train are served fine cuisine just as it was to first class passengers half a century ago. The entire trip takes two and a half hours (a non-dining trip is also offered, but is forty-five minutes shorter), and is a wonderfully romantic option that transcends the typical date night routine of a dinner and a show.

Whichever option you choose, you'll be treated to a unique experience that goes beyond a tasty meal. You'll be enveloped by sights and sounds not offered anywhere else but Branson, Missouri. Hop on board and enjoy yourself!
