Yes, you read that right. The theme park built around ocean conservation and sea life has a stage show, specifically a Christmas stage show, with your pals from Sesame Street. Elmo, Zoe, Cookie Monster, Rosita and Grover show up to entertain the littlest members of your family with songs and dances.
Performed in the Seaport Theater near the front of the park, which also hosts an animal show during the day, Elmo's Christmas Wish tells the simple story of Elmo deciding what his Christmas wish should be. His friends all join in and sing about their individual wishes.
For little ones, the show is a delight. The music is lively and special stage effects include bubbles and "snow" - two things that are irresistible to the pre-school crowd. Also, immediately after the show, there is a meet and greet opportunity for guests to spend a little one-on-one time with Elmo. Inquire with one of the show attendants for availability and location after the show.
So, when the older kids are queued up for one of the roller coasters that the littlest's head doesn't quite reach the height bar for, you can treat him or her to a special little treat.
And don't forget about the playground designed specifically for little ones that was erected in the shadow of Shamu stadium. There are plenty of activities there to keep little hands from becoming too idle.
