New Roller Coaster MAKO at SeaWorld in 2016

There are rollercoasters and then there are hypercoasters. What's the difference? Speed and height. A lot of speed and a whole bunch of height. The kind of speed and height that, when riding one, makes you feel like you've been launched into hyperspace.

So, which kind of coaster is MAKO, the new attraction rising above the Orlando skyline? It's a hypercoaster, baby! When complete, it will be Orlando's tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster. And MAKO will certainly put the hyper in hypercoaster. It will reach speeds of 73 mph along its 4760 feet of track and stretch 200 feet into the air. While riding it, guests will experience steep drops over hills that will create a feeling of weightlessness. That's a whole heck of a lot of hyper, kids.

MAKO is the newest addition to SeaWorld Orlando's new shark themed area built just behind its venerable Shark Encounter attraction. By the way, if you haven't visited it in awhile, Shark Encounter still offers a thrilling look at some of the oceans deadliest and most misunderstood creatures.

On track to be completed in summer 2016, MAKO will quickly become one of the - if not THE - most sought after attractions in the Central Florida area. Book your trip today!
